Seqana and Klim are excited to announce new projects which deliver soil sampling designs on  large-scale carbon removal initiatives across Germany. Through the Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV) of soil organic carbon (SOC) on 29,000 hectares of croplands, this collaboration demonstrates the scalability of adopting regenerative agriculture practices and implementing SOC monitoring.

Precision-Driven Sampling Design for Klim’s Needs

Klim sought a streamlined approach to a sampling design strategy that could be tailored to their project’s unique requirements. Seqana, leveraging its expertise in remote sensing and machine learning, created numerous standard compliant sampling designs based on the croplands designated by Klim.

Delivering Measurable Impact

Seqana’s sampling design provided Klim with:

  • A clear roadmap for soil sample collection, including the exact geolocations for optimized fieldwork.
  • A reduced sample size while maintaining statistical validity and ensuring high-quality insights.
  • A scientifically rigorous and efficient approach to sampling design tailored to Klim’s project goals.

“Seqana transformed the complexity of planning soil sampling into a seamless process. Their precise stratification and tailored plans align perfectly with our criteria. Collaborating with their expert team and benefiting from proactive advice has been vital in advancing our mission to restore soil organic carbon at scale and speed.” – Olga Ogneva, Soil Sample Campaign Manager at Klim

This partnership is an exciting step towards both companies advancing their mission of restoring soil organic carbon at scale and speed. The collaboration has not only facilitated precise soil sampling, but also lays the groundwork for deeper engagement in the future.

“We are excited to support Klim as they continue to scale their efforts in regenerative agriculture and carbon removal in Germany and beyond. Their farmer-first approach aligns with the values we hold at Seqana.”  – Jakob Levin, Co-founder of Seqana

By providing innovative, data-backed solutions, Seqana helps partners like Klim successfully and effectively quantify their impact on soils.

About Klim

The AgriTech company Klim is creating a joint movement with farmers and businesses to scale regenerative practices as quickly as possible, sustainably reduce CO₂ emissions and improve soil health as well as biodiversity. Thus, it makes an important contribution to climate protection and food security. The digital platform offers farmers documentation and funding opportunities as well as access to agronomy expert knowledge. Companies that partner with Klim have the opportunity to support regenerative agriculture within or outside their own supply chains.

About Seqana

Seqana, based in Berlin, specializes in leveraging remote sensing and machine learning to develop data-driven Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) solutions for soil-based carbon removal projects. Whether the objective is to enhance soil health, claim CO2 removals, or strengthen supply chain resilience, Seqana delivers scientifically rigorous, scalable solutions for corporations and project developers worldwide.
